Person holding head in frustration at a cluttered desk with crumpled papers and a notebook reading 'THE PLAN: STUCK'

Get Up. This Season Needs You.

Not just out of bed, but out of the scroll, the couch, the comfortable fog of going nowhere.

Let me be honest with you, and with myself, because I’m guilty of this too. There’s a kind of tiredness that isn’t about sleep. It’s the tiredness of not moving. Of lying on the couch, phone in hand, watching hours disappear into a feed that gives you nothing back. Of telling your family you’re bored, when the truth is you’re waiting, waiting for some outside force to tell you it’s time to start.

“The scroll doesn’t fill you. The passive hours don’t restore you. Only purpose does that.”

This is the moment, right now, in the quiet discomfort of having nothing to show for today, to sit with yourself. Not to judge, but to listen. What do you actually need? What genuinely makes you happy, not just distracted? What would make you feel proud when you look back on this time?

Don’t let your goals collect dust. You don’t need money to move forward; you need intention. Research. Make a map. Write out the steps, even if step one is just understanding the path. That’s not nothing. That’s a beginning. Momentum isn’t built by grand gestures; it’s built by choosing not to waste this hour, this day, this season.

Where to start – right now

  • → Put the phone down and ask yourself: what have I been putting off?
  • → Write one goal and one small step you could take this week
  • → If money is a barrier, research, knowledge costs nothing
  • → Build a map: a simple outline of the steps between here and there
  • → Choose one hour today that belongs to your future, not your feed

As I’ve gotten older, time has started to feel different. The years move fast in a way they simply didn’t when I was younger. And the thing about regret is that it doesn’t announce itself, it just quietly accumulates in the space between what you did and what you knew you were capable of. I don’t want that for you. I don’t want it for myself.

You want to look back on this chapter of your life with appreciation, not with “I should have.” You want to trace the journey and feel proud of the person who showed up, imperfectly and consistently, for the life they wanted to build.

“This never fully stops; there will always be a new season, new struggles, new hills to climb. But this season? This one is asking for your attention.”

You are allowed to rest. Real rest, the kind that restores you. But sitting in restlessness, scrolling through other people’s lives, telling yourself you’ll start tomorrow? That’s not rest. That’s avoidance. And deep down, you already know the difference.

Get up. Not perfectly. Not with everything figured out. Just get up, turn toward what matters, and take one step. That’s enough to begin.

Today’s season needs your attention. Give it what it deserves.
